Philabaum Glass
Philabaum Glass Studio & Gallery was founded in Tuscon, Arizona by Tom Philabaum. Philabaum attended the Toledo Museum of Art School and continued with a graduate education in ceramics in St. Louis. Philabaum moved to Wisconsin to study under glass artist under artist Harvey Littleton. Philabaum employs a number of different glass techniques, including glass blowing, kiln casting, fusing and slumping. His previous love for clay is evident in his sculptural molten glass pieces. Though the studio was initially just Tom Philabaum, today a number of artisans work, teach and learn in the studio.
Auction highlights include the pictured antique hand sculpted glass vase sold by Bonhams & Butterfields Los Angeles on April 6, 2009 for $1,464.
