The Orient & Flume studio was founded in 1972 by Douglas Boyd. The studio began by emulating the iridescent glass of Tiffany’s. A number of artists work in the studio, both independently and in collaboration with each other. Orient & Flume art glass is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum, the Smithsonian, and the Chicago Art Institute, among others.

Auction highlights include an Orient & Flume Art Glass vase sold by Schrager Galleries on June 19, 2007 for $850.
