Franck Muller Watches
Swiss watchmaker Franck Muller was born in 1958. Muller grew up in La Chaux-de-Fonds, hub of the Swiss watchmaking industry. At the age of 15, Muller began attending a watchmaking school. For a period of time, Muller worked repairing watches for private collections and museums. He founded his own self-titled watch manufacturing company in Geneva, Switzerland in 1991. Muller counts Demi More, 50 Cent and Elton John as celebrity clients.
Each year, Franck Muller releases a new line of watches, dubbed “World Premiers”. Franck Muller holds the record for the smallest tourbillion movement in the world.
Auction highlights include a vintage No. 1 Revolution 2 Tourbillon wristwatch sold by Sotheby’s New York on December 8, 2006 for $296,000. Franck Muller watches remain extremely popular with hobbyists and collectors at auction. Prices range from hundreds to thousands of dollars depending on the age, materials used and condition. When purchasing a vintage Franck Muller watch, be sure to verify authenticity - there are a lot of imitation watches. In addition to very popular Franck Muller Art Deco watch, other highly collectible models include the Casablanca watch, the Double Mystery watch and the Conquistador watch.
