A banquet lamp refers to a tall lamp on a pedestal, having a foot and two separate globes, the well and the burner. Banquet lamps may also have a glass chimney and are sometimes provided with a fringed shade at the top, meant to provide lighting at a dining or banquet table.

Among the most desirable makers of antique banquet lamps are, most notably, Bradley & Hubbard, Miller, Pairpoint, Fostoria and Baccarat. In recent auction highlights, an antique Royal Flemish banquet lamp having a design of enameled mauve and amber thistles, marked for the year 1884, realized $1,840 at James D. Julia in Fairfield, Maine.
