Description: Orson Byron Lowell (American, 1871-1956) gouache on paper, genre scene with man seated by fireplace, painted en grisaille aside from red highlight in man's kerchief, signed lower left and inscribed "for George Clark and Hortense Smith", matted and framed under glass, ss. 18 1/2" h. x 12" w. (not examined out of frame).
