Description: Sheraton mahogany work or writing table, mahogany and mahogany veneers with white pine secondary wood. Features two drawers, each with figured veneer and two round brass pulls (original), the top drawer with baize covered lift top writing surface and dividers for ink bottles. Ring turned "cookie" corner posts over spiral legs ending in ring and ball feet. 29"H x 21-1/2" W x 19" D. American, possibly Boston, circa 1810. Provenance: the estate of Margaret Wemyss Connor, Nashville, Tennessee.

Condition Report: Original pulls exhibit oxidation, one knob is missing, small narrow area of loss to table's right front post, some light worm damage to bottom drawer. Old refinishing.

Description: A George III Mahogany Knife Box, circa 1770, of rectangular form, the front with concave corners and having a sloped lid, the interior with inlaid star decoration, containing two sets of 12 English silver forks and knives, and a master carving fork and knife, each with a pistol handle having a shell terminal, maker's marks rubbed. Height of box 15 inches.

Condition Report: Marks very worn. Tines and knife blades likely replaced, blades stainless. Clean joints. Wood box with age cracks and splits. Accompanied by paperwork from Marshall Field and Company. Please request additional photos.

Description: A George III Silver Tea and Coffee Service, Peter & William Bateman, 1809, comprising a teapot and coffee pot with wood handles, a creamer and an open sugar, each of rectangular form with gadrooned decoration, the creamer and sugar with gilt wash interior; approximate total weight overall 59.37 ozt. Height of tallest 9 inches.

Condition Report: Each appear to be in basic overall good condition without major dents, losses or repairs. Each with light surface scratches throughout typical of age and polishing. Coffee pot and teapot having a stripped finish to wood handles. Coffee pot having some splits to spherical feet. Creamer and sugar each with fairly bright gilt wash interiors. Each with moderate to heavy shelfwear to feet. The cream is likely Peter and William Bateman. The upper portion of the mark is distorted due to the curve of the spout; all pieces are of identical decoration, date and general condition. The coffee pot with a split to the top of one ball foot and tiny split to underside of another. Presently stable.
