This Winchester Model 1895 was manufactured in 1905. The rifle is chambered for the very desirable .405 W.C.F. cartridge. The barrel and receiver have a blue finish with varnished walnut stock and forearm. The forearm has the standard factory ebony inlay. The top of the receiver has the standard matted finish. The rifle is fitted with a Lyman "Hunting Front Sight" with ivory bead and a Lyman WR-WT receiver sight. The rear sight dove-tail on the barrel is fitted with a blank. The barrel has been shortened to 20-inches and re-crowned. The stock is fitted with an after-market, red rubber, recoil pad with black spacer. The recoil pad is marked: "LONDON GUNS/SATNA BARBARA CA".
