Description: Manufactured in 1912. Standard two line barrel address/patent date markings on the left upper barrel flat ahead of the rear sight, "38 W.C.F." at the breech end and the three line manufacturer model and trade mark marking on the upper tang. Pinched blade front sight marked with patent date and adjustable buck horn rear sight mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a steel forend cap and crescent buttplate.

Condition: Very fine. The rifle retains approximately 80% original finish with some overall scattered light spotting on the barrel and magazine. The receiver is thinning on the underside, shows high edge wear and there is some light spotting. The lever shows some strong original faded case colors in protected areas, otherwise has a smooth gray patina. The buttplate has been cleaned and has some scattered discoloration. The wood is also very fine. There is a moderate pressure dent on the right rear of the stock, a couple of minor cracks extending from the buttplate forward and overall scattered minor dings, dents and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
