Manufactured in 1871. This Winchester Model 1886 lever action rifle has a blade front sight (with missing bead), an adjustable rear sight and a folding tang peep sight. Standard two line barrel address and "45-90 W.C.F." marked near the breech, with the patent dates and serial number on the lower tang. Blue barrel and full length magazine tube with the remaining surfaces casehardened. Smooth forearm with metal end cap and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.
