By descent to the present owner. Private Collection, Toronto. Note: Kurelek's depiction of a boy performing his own rudimentary dentistry was, in fact, payment to the artist's dentist for services rendered. The painting was executed by Kurelek especially for the purpose of settlement with his dentist.
