The Whitney Kennedy rifle was manufactured from 1879 to 1886 with approximately 15,000 produced. Marked with the early one line address: "WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY, CT. U.S.A" on top of the barrel, patent dates on the upper tang and serial number on the lower tang. Fixed front blade ivory bead sight and adjustable sporting rear sights. Blue finish with casehardened lever, smooth forearm with steel end cap and straight grip stock with steel crescent buttplate.
