Watzek, Hans: A Village Corner "A Village Corner". 1899. Gum bichromate print in sepia. 33,5 x 26 cm. Photographer's monogram and date 99 in the negative in lower left corner. Annotated in pencil on the verso, mounted along upper edge to board (some staining in lower edge).This image was published in Camera Work 13, 1906 as a photogravure and as the notations on the verso indicate, the print offered here is most probably the original used to make the photogravure plate. - Some buckling and a few light surface spots in mid to upper right portion.
