W/C - Maritime Portrait of the NYC Harbor Tug 'Admiral Dewey' by Frederick Schiller Cozzens (NY, 1856-1928), signed lower left and dated 1900, depicting her broadside and underway, in a gilt molded panel frame, french-lined mat, glazed, SS: 15" x 28 1/2", OS: 27" x 40 1/2", scratch in water at center, repaired tear lr edge, scuffs in sky. This boat was built in 1900 by the Burlee Drydock Co, NYC, was later renamed the 'Helen McAllister' and is now restored and part of the museum complex at Pier 17 at the end of Fulton Street in NYC, listed on the National Historical Register in Dec 2002.
