A complete loose set of the fifty-five prints from the 'Upright Tokaido' series, Gojusan tsugi meisho zue [Famous places at the fifty-three stations], published by Tsutaya Kichizo in 1855, generally very good impressions, with good colour and condition, good margins, repaired binding holes in margins Oban tate-e, each approximately 14 3/16 x 91/2 in. (36.4 x 24.1cm.) (55) NOTES Prints from this series are illustrated in Tanba Tsuneo, Hiroshige (Tokyo, 1965), pp. 158-9 and the complete series is described in detail in Edward F.
