The town of West Roxbury, Massachusetts was originally part of the town of Roxbury (founded 1630), and spent 1851 to 1874 as an independent town following secession from Roxbury, before being absorbed by Boston. Markings and features are standard, with the addition of "West Roxbury Police" in script on the backstrap, flanked by border lines and scrollwork. Grips are smooth bird's head rosewood.
