Condition/Details: Bound in gray cloth with (faded) gilt lettering to spine, this antique volume is a scarce original edition of this manual of medical gymnastics. This work has been translated by A. B. Olsen and contains introduction and notes by J. H. Kellogg, the noted doctor who ran a sanitarium using holistic methods, with a particular focus on nutrition, enemas and exercise. The work is illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of the author and in-text and full-page drawings illustrating body positions and movements.
