"Pleasures and Terrors of Levitation 474." Silver print, 11 1/2x9 1/2 inches (29.2x24.1 cm.), with Siskind's signature, title, date, and cropping notations, in red ink, and other notations, in pencil, on verso. 1954
Notes:
This photograph was given by Siskind to the current owner, a former student, in the 1960s. apparently this print was in a solo exhibition of Siskind's photographs at the International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House in the mid-1960s. This image is reproduced in aaron siskind: photographer (Rochester, 1965), aaron siskind: pleasures and terrors (New York, 1982), pl. 151 and in aaron siskind 100 (New York, 2003), unpaginated.
