Long suspected of being employee-made "lunch box" guns, original blueprints turned up confirming these pistols as Winchester factory production, experiments in the same vein as their earlier revolvers. Built around a Model 1902-style single shot bolt action receiver with a tapered barrel. Blade front and notch rear sights, with nickel finished bolt, turned handle and knurled cocking knob. Solid brass frame, with a takedown screw just ahead of the trigger guard, a serrated trigger and smooth two piece burl walnut grips. Discussed in "The Winchester Book" by Madis, pages 574 and 575.
BBL: 8 1/2 inch round

Gauge: 22 LR
Finish: blue
