The Rising Moon or An English Pastoral (Lister 7)
Etching, 1857, possibly the third state of nine, on wove, areas of what appears to be scratching out to the several of the sheep, 140 x 210mm (5 1/2 x 8 1/4in)(SH). Together with copies of 'The Herdsman's Cottage'(L.3), second and final state and 'The Early Ploughman'(L.9), prior to the fifth state, with areas of possible scratching out to the ox's rear and left horn, the ploughman's left arm and shoulder, further areas where the printed surface appears to have been burnished (3)
