Russian Space Program: Flown Sokol KV-2 Space Suit Worn by Cosmonaut Anatoli Pavlovich Artsebarskyblue trimmed white nylon, attached pressurized hood with hinged visor and secondary interior communications hood, blue anodized aluminium clavicle and cuff flanges, detachable gloves, V-zip chest closure with pressure equalization valve, lace-up crotch with Velcro placket, Russian flag patch to left shoulder, NASA Shuttle + PKA (MIR) mission patch to right shoulder and MIR insignia patch to chest.Note: Developed in 1973 by NPP Zvedza, the Sokol space suit is still in use today (KV-2 model). Intended for protection from cabin depressurization during launch and reentry the suit can be worn for short periods in open space. In 1991 Artsebarsky spent 145 days as commander of the Soyuz TM-12/MIR-9 mission (May 18-October 10), logging a total of 33 hours of space walking.
