Royal Navy Admiral's group of Orders and medals. A fine group of six awarded to Rear Admiral Fleet Paymaster Walter Gask. CB, Legion of Honour, Royal Navy. The group comprises the neck badge of a Companionof The Most Honourable Order of the Bath (Military Division); 1914-15Star (Capt Payr); British War Medal and Victory Medal (Payr Commr); Edward VII 1902 Coronation Medal and the Legion of Honour Chevalier. The group is mounted Court style as worn. Medals toned GC. E700-800 Rear Admiral Fleet Paymaster Walter Gask Was born in Bromley Kent, after being educated at Dulwich College South London he was commissioned 1887. Paymaster 1901, Capt 1920, Rear Admiral retired 1925. During the tour of the Duke of York later King George VI to the Colonies, he served as secretary to the Commodore on board the Royal Yacht HMS Ophir. 1910-1913 he was secretary to the Commander in Chief of the China Station and during the Great War secretary to the AdmiralDover patrol. CB 1916. Chevalier Legion of Honour 1918.
