PHILIP HOWARD EVERGOOD (American, 1901-1973) "THE HOUSE THAT JACK BUILT".Oil on wood panel nighttime scene shows a thick forest with tall black trees with two Colonial homes having chimneys. In the foreground are two white dogs and white flowers. In front of a tree which is white and has been broken off halfway up the trunk which spreads across the painting. Signed lower right "Philip Evergood VIII LVI". Back with a title. Housed in a weathered molded wood and carved frame with linen liner. SIZE: 19-1/4" x 23-1/4". CONDITION: Very good.   9-91260
