PHILIP EVERGOOD (American, 1901-1973) Untitled (Girl with Flowers) Oil on canvas 30 x 21-3/4 inches (76.2 x 55.2 cm) Signed lower left: Philip Evergood PROVENANCE: Collection of Mildred Constantine, Nyack, NY; Thence by descent to the present owner. Girl with Flowers is from the collection of Mildred "Connie" Constantine, the former associate curator of MoMA's architecture and design department from 1943 through 1970. Constantine described the painting in a 2006 letter to her niece as "one of [Evergood's] very important pieces."
