Condition/Details: Bound in pictorial wrappers, this volume is a scarce autographed pre-publication printing of this novel by best-selling author Pat Conroy (b. 1945). The book tells the story of Tom Wingo, an unemployed South Carolina teacher who goes to New York City to help his sister, Savannah, a poet who has attempted suicide, to come to terms with their past. This novel was the basis for the 1991 film by Barbra Streisand, starring herself and Nick Nolte.
The author's signature appears on the title page. The volume shows light external age/wear, with blurred publisher's stamp on top edge of text.
