Pair of Chinese Polychrome Painted Ivory Cups
Yu Shuo, 18th century
Each set on a low foot rim, delicately painted with a panel of dragonfly and butterfly flying over multicolored blossoming flowers in a rocky landscape, each corner worked with a red bat, the reverse with a panel containing an inscription of minute characters. Height 2 inches, diameter 3 3/8 inches.

Condition Report:
Minor circular age cracks to interior base and to area just above foot rim on exterior. Ivory has yellowed with age. Light and even pigment wear to exterior panels.
