Description: Prom‚th‚e inscribed with the signature 'O. ZADKINE' (on the front of the base) and with the foundry mark 'Susse fondeur, Paris' (at the side of the base) bronze with brown patina 1181/8in. (300cm.) high Conceived in wood in 1955-1956 and cast in bronze in a numbered edition of four ( 0/3-3/3 ) plus three artist's proofs. This exemple was commissioned to the artist by Gustave J. Nellens in 1963 and was exhibited at the Casino of Knokke. Zadkine subsequently cast no. 2/3 in 1965, no. 3/3 in 1966 and no. 0/3 in 1970. PROVENANCE Acquired directly from the artist by Gustave J.
