Iron mounted, horseman's sword produced by Nathan Starr circa 1805 - 1810. Sword exhibits leather wrapped grip with no wire wrap. Ricasso marked on obverse "N. STARR" in curved lettersunder what appears to be an eagle and on reverse "US". Blade measures 34 1/8" and exhibits a single narrow fuller. No scabbard. Peterson describes this as a possible unlocated federal contract. Shipping: $20 plus insurance.
