A standard Moore's cabinet desk with burled panels and a tall gallery, incised, carved and spindled. Has large brass gilt hinges, pulls, lock and letter slot. The interior is finished with various drawers, compartments, mail slots (all boxes are present) and a pull-out leather-top writing surface. Signed on the back plate "Moore's Cabinet Desk - Indianapolis, Ind - Patented Jan. 8th 1878". In excellent condition and fully functional.
