This lot includes the group of Walt Disney collectible ephemera shown in the corresponding image. This material, published in the 1930s by Walt Disney Enterprises, consists of two very scarce promotional items. The first is a very well-preserved complete giveaway issue of "Mickey Mouse Magazine" (Vol. I, No. 9 - July 1934) sponsored by Arctic Dairy Products Co. of Flint Michigan (company name appears at top margin of front cover and in a full-page advertisement on the back cover). Contents of this 15-page issue include an interview with Babe Ruth "by Mickey Mouse," lyrics and music to a song by Gus Edwards, chapter IV of a story entitled "Mickey and the Bambones," and "Mickey's Gallery of Stars Who Drink Milk" featuring Spencer Tracey.

The second item is a lavishly illustrated Mickey Mouse Globe Trotters map together with accompanying cards. This world map came into being as part of a promotion Disney ran with regional bakeries. Kids could send away to join Mickey Mouse Globe Trotters, buy the appropriate brand of bread and get clues to move Mickey across a map in pursuit of the Big Bad Wolf. Neither map nor cards show any tears or holes. Unfolded map measures approximately 26 1/2" x 20". Cards are in their original, uncut condition. The magazine measures 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" and has no tears or stains. Paper is crisp and illustrations are bright.
