acrylic on canvas.

Provenance:
Cat. No. A1212 (1994) - Aboriginal Fine Arts Gallery, Darwin, NT
Private American Collection

In the present work, two Aboriginal women during Dreamtime are performing dance ceremonies in the sand. The multi colored pattern in the background of the painting is identified with this artist as his "flicked" style of painting; and represents the dust in the sand created by the intensity of the dance ceremony. Maxi has exhibited in major Australian museums and is widely held in private collections.
