(Plate 23), from The Birds of America Sylvia Trichas engraving with aquatint and hand-coloring, 1827, on J Whatman, with margins, pale mat and time staining, minor surface soiling and creasing (mostly in the margins and on the reverse), a soft vertical crease through the center, a soft handling crease in the lower margin, a few small tears along the margin edges, a 1-in. vertical tear at the center of the lower margin edge, otherwise in good condition, framed P. 19 1/2 x 12 1/4 in. (495 x 311 mm.) S. 39 1/4 x 26 3/8 in. (996 x 666 mm.)
