Description: Oil on artist board scene shows an open book with reading glasses next to three other books, brass candlestick with candle, paper sack and wick trimmers against a grayish background. Signed bottom right Claude Raguet Hirst, N.Y.". Housed in a fine apple vine decorated period frame. Though the signature does not fluoresce, the style appears to be looser, possibly indicating an early study or a late work. SIZE: 13-1/2" x 18-1/2". CONDITION: Very good with a few very minor spots of inpainting, mostly in the background. 9-94165
