THAMES RIVER, LONDON signed watercolour on paper 26.7 by 20.3 cm. 10 1/2 by 8 in. Carr arrived in England in the summer of 1899, settling first in London. Apart from short trips to Scotland, Cornwall and other spots in the countryside, she stayed there until 1904. This fine watercolour would have been painted during this time.
