nicely framed. Knight was well known for his scenes of these streams with flowers and cottages, painted in France. He studied with his father, painter Daniel Ridgeway Knight, and at the Academie Julian in Paris. He exhibited at the Paris Expo (1897-1905), Paris Salons, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Rheims Expo (1903), Lyons Expo (1904), and the Corcoran Gallery. His work is in the collections of the Luxembourg Museum, Musee des Colonies, Newark Museum, Delgado Museum, and the Omaha Society of Liberal Arts. This is an outstanding example of this artist’s work.
