Italian, 1859-1933 an allegorical group monogrammed and inscribed: A Demetrio Medovich XXVo Anniversario del 'Piccolo' Teodoro Mayer NFL bronze, black patina 61cm., 24in. Bistolfi was a Symbolist sculptor and his name is eponymous with that movement in Italy. As can be seen in the present group, his statuettes tend towards the stile Liberty, or Art Nouveau.
