engraving, 1513, an exceptionally fine, early Meder a impression, warm and tonal, printing with burr in the dark areas, with a light diagonal scratch between the tower and the castle (not described by Meder) and faint wiping marks in the sky elsewhere, inky plate edges, on a large sheet of paper without watermark (as called for by Meder for earliest impressions), with 30 mm. to 70 mm. margins, a thin line of pale mount staining well outseide the platemark, otherwise in excellent condition
