Kenyon C. Cox (1856-1919), American MILKING TIME (BELIEVED TO BE THE WINSTON CHURCHILL FARM); Oil on canvas; signed and dated 1910 lower right 26.5" x 37" - 67.3 x 94 cm. Note: The American poet, Winston Churchill, lived next door to Kenyon's summer residence at Cornish, New Hampshire. On more than one occasion, Kenyon pleaded with Winston to remove the Jersey's bell ringers as they made too much noise in the mornings.
