Mohnblumen signed 'S.Rottluff' (lower right) watercolour on paper 27 1/8 x 21in. (69.4 x 53.3cm.) Executed in Ticino in 1951 PROVENANCE Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Levin, Palm Beach. Schoneman Galleries, New York. Arthur and Edith B. Weisz, New York, by whom acquired from the above in December 1964. EXHIBITION Palm Beach and Detroit, Levin Collection, 1959. NOTES It has been suggested that the inscription on the reverse of the sheet is by the hand of Schmidt-Rottluff and signifies it was executed as no. 67 in 1951, the year when Schmidt-Rottluff was in Ticino.
