Historic description of the 'Bayit HaAkademi HaYehudi' - housing for Jewish students from rural areas attending school in Warsaw. Warsaw, 1928. Includes a short history of the home, photos, architectural sketches, financial information. The home was built in 1924-1926 according to the plans of architect Henryk Stifelman who established other Jewish institutions in the city such as the Korczak orphanage.Polish. 23 cm. Excellent condition. Thick paper. Aging stains. Original, green binding. Gilt caption on binding. Caption in black ink on the spine. [A few worming marks on the spine and the last pages. Not affecting text.] Rare and historically important.
