OOC - ' The Sisters ' by Joseph Rodefer DeCamp (NY, 1858-1923) depicting his daughters Pauline & Lydia outdoors in a Maine landscape, under a willow tree. Unsigned, ca. 1911, in original carved and gilded matched corner signed Thulin frame #2223, dated 1930. Provenance: Through direct descent from the DeCamp family. This painting appears as Fig. 47 on page 80 of the DeCamp catalogue by Laurene Buckley, published by Prestel in 1995. SS: 28" x 18", OS: 32" x 22", untouched condition, 3/4" x 1" flake lower right, minor bubbling above in foreground, otherwise fine.
