We have no corroborative material to support the title given to us by the owner, though it fits. Another image by Wiles of the same size with similar handling of the figures of fairies Ð at once both real and ethereal is in the collection of the Yale Unversity Art Gallery, hanging as of July 1, 2008 in the office of the provost. Its title of record there is Christmas Eve.
