JAMES HAMILTON (American, 1819-1878) OFF THE COAST OF ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY. Oil on canvas scene shows a long beach ending in an area with buildings and flagpoles having a large ship moored off shore under a setting sun sky. Several people are seen walking the beach. Housed in a fine museum quality gesso decorated gilt frame with gilt liner and gilt name plaque. Signed on reverse of canvas. SIZE: 17-3/4" x 26-1/4". CONDITION: Relined, some inpainting.
