Peluso, Jr., J.J. Bard Picture Painters (New York, 1977), p. 116. NOTES Originally built in 1854 under the name "John L. Lockwood", this steamboat changed names numerous times using the "Henry Smith" and then later "Victor". The ship was used mainly in New York waters.
