Hubley cast iron Penn Yan Speedboat, circa 1938, the deep blue boat trimmed in gold and marked in raised letters Penn Yan, it is fitted with an aluminum windshield, and features an outboard motor with nickel trim and brass screw, it retains its Johnson Seahorse 10 decal, and its original Hubley decal as well, the boat comes with three original figures and the original pull string and ball, (near mint, remarkable condition, figures are bright white and have only minor chips, the male passenger has possible repair and overpaint to legs, the finish on the boat is incredibly crisp and clean). (4) length 14in. (35.6cm.) Patterned after the full-size boat manufactured by Penn Yan, it is believed that Hubley did not obtain their permission to produce this toy. Therefore, Hubley withdrew it from production. This would explain the lack of information on the toy and account for its extreme rarity.
