22 in. (57.2 cm.) high with a rose marble base 6 in. (15.2 cm.) high
Executed circa 1849.
Notes: Proserpine was one of Powers's most popular works and underwent several changes by the artist. The present work is an example from the third version in which Powers replaced acanthus leaves with a classical beaded border.
