A study of a late 16th century Iznik dish

and a study of an Iznik drinking vessel by the same hand, (2).
Notes:
Wallis was a highly accomplished artist and found fame with his iconic Royal Academy exhibit of 1856 'The Death of Chatterton'. His later career was as an expert and collector in Islamic and Persian art, in 1893 he published 'Typical examples of Persian and Oriental ceramic Art' for which he provided the illustrations.
