Notes: THE PROPERTY OF MAGNUM PHOTOS, LONDON

The works in lots 52-64 and 101-110 are prints from Magnum London's exhibition set of In Our Time, comprising images published in the book of the same title in 1989, which celebrated 40 years of Magnum. Only four exhibition sets in this large format were made, each touring widely following their printing in 1989; three are in museum collections: the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, the Waikato Museum, New Zealand, and the George Eastman House, Rochester, New York. The fourth is the Magnum London set, from which the following lots are taken. Aside from these four, an extra set comprising a smaller selection is in the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum, and two portfolio sets (smaller selection and paper size) were produced and sold to private collections. No further sets will be made.

This lot is the only extant signed print of this image available in this large size.

VAT rate of 5% is payable on hammer price plus buyer's premium.
