Graham, Dan: Homes for America
Homes for America (#1). 1960s/70s. Color offset print. 24 x 31 cm (49,5 x 55.5 cm). Printed title and number as well as signed by the photographer in pencil below the image in the margin.
Dan Graham's work includes performances, installations, video works, photographs, and architectural works. He often breaks the conventional boundaries between architecture and sculpture to produce intentional ambivalence. His glass and metal pavilions are minimalist structures that deal with perceptual paradox. Ambiguity is one of the consistent themes present in his work. "Homes for America" was a photo text essay Graham published in 1965, in which he analyzed the architecture of the suburbs of America. - A few light handling creases, otherwise in very good condition.
