Gershon Iskowitz 1921 - 1988 Canadian watercolour on paper Untitled / Gershon Iskowitz: Painter of Light 13 x 22 inches 33 x 55.9 centimeters signed and dated 1978 Provenance:Private Collection, Toronto The monograph, Gershon Iskowitz: Painter of Light, was written to commemorate the artist's 1982 Retrospective Exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario. A limited edition of 100 copies, each signed by the artist and the author, Adele Freedman, was produced (in addition to the trade book) and each included an original watercolour. This lot consists of the watercolour, archivally matted in its own cloth-bound portfolio, and the cloth-bound book, number 11 of 100, in its original boxed case. Colour plates are all tipped-in. This lot includes the original printed cardboard container and its fittings.
