One of Texas's best-known contemporary western painters, G. Harvey's art draws from a well of experiences starting with his birth in San Antonio in 1933. His grandfather was a trail boss when the range was open and the land was wild. Harvey grew up listening to stories from his father and grandfather recalling ranch life and frontier days in Texas.
